NICE TO MEET YOU.

WE’RE KINGMAN INK

A woman is drawing on a whiteboard with colorful markers, surrounded by handwritten notes and sketches. There is a large screen displaying a presentation slide and a man standing nearby in a suit. The image has annotations indicating "Visual Notes," an arrow pointing to the woman with the label "Listening, Drawing," and another annotation saying "Words, Words, Words!" in the background.

You've probably sat through a presentation that went in one ear and out the other.

That's exactly what we're here to fix.

Kingman Ink is a graphic recording and visual communications studio founded by Kelly Kingman and based in the New York City metro area. We're a small, expert team of 6–10 artists, strategists, and creatives — and we work with organizations around the world to make complex ideas clear, memorable, and alive on the page.

Our clients span the globe and every corner of the business world — global financial institutions like Goldman Sachs and Citadel, tech giants like Google and Lenovo, and beloved consumer brands like Spindrift and Penguin Random House. Whether we're on the ground at a live event, joining virtually, or leading a visual communication workshop for your team, we bring the same thing every time: ideas that stick.

Kelly Kingman is the CEO and principal artist of Kingman Ink, based in New York. Through vivid, hand-drawn summaries, she and her team of artists transform conversations and keynotes at events into visual records that help audiences better recall and retain key ideas.

As a visual literacy expert and advocate, Kelly teaches people how to use simple images to brainstorm, collaborate, and communicate more effectively. She is passionate about empowering others to step up to the whiteboard or flipchart—helping them present and think through ideas while unleashing creativity for both themselves and their audience.

Kelly has led numerous workshops on visual communication for large organizations such as McKinsey, Toyota and the MIT Sloan School of Business.

Communication is a through-line of her career. Before finding visual note taking, she worked in the fields of graphic design, journalism and publishing. She has a B.A. in aesthetics from New School University. She lives in the Hudson Valley of New York with her husband, daughter and two cats.
